Pediatric Neurology and Neurodevelopment
Pediatric neurology addresses neurological conditions that appear during infancy and childhood, many of which impact lifelong development. This track will explore disorders such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, and rare genetic syndromes. Emphasis will be placed on early diagnostic strategies, neuroimaging, and genetic testing to identify conditions at the earliest stages. Presentations will also focus on neurodevelopmental milestones, behavioural comorbidities, and the impact of neuroplasticity on rehabilitation. Current and emerging treatments, including antiepileptic drugs, neurorehabilitation techniques, and non-invasive brain stimulation, will be discussed. The track supports an integrative approach to improving outcomes in paediatric brain health.
